1.You already have an orkut community, so what is the purpose of this website?

    The purpose of the website is to promote the orkut community. Not everybody has orkut account, so from this website, they may get an idea about our orkut community and get interested to open an account at orkut and join the community.

    Also there are certain features which presently are not available in orkut community (e.g. facility to upload pictures), which will be possible through this website.

2.Can I create a new thread in this orkut community?

    Yes, you can. But to keep the community clean and organized, we have decided that before creating a new topic any member (including moderators/owner) need to notify it at New Thread Request first. The decision will be taken by all the members.

    The reasons behind this request are,

    1. This topic may already exist. In that case moderators will have no other option but to delete this duplicate topic, but before deleting some good posting may get posted in that thread and those will also get deleted.
    2. The topic could be unrelated, common games thread which is against community USP and the majority members may not like to continue with this.

    The members are very active in this community. So whenever you are keeping this suggestion, after little bit discussion you or any member can create this topic.

3.Is there any restriction in creating Polls?

    Not as such. You can go ahead and create a poll, but make sure there is no such poll already exists with the same topic and the poll is relevant. Also if the subject is relevant for a specific time period, please keep a suitable poll end date.

4.Can I post advertisement?

    Yes, if this advertisement subject is healthy, e.g. promoting another healthy community, advertisement for making some investment etc. you can go ahead and post it in the proper thread.

    There are some noble causes, which cannot be classified as advertisement. We have kept a separate thread for those. So before posting you need to make sure,

    1.If this is an advertisement it should go at

    2.If this is a message for a noble cause, this should go at
       MESSAGES - POST HERE
    3.If this is a community related messages/update, it will go at
       MESSAGEBOARD

5.Can I discuss politics in this community?

    There is a topic Duniya Dot Com - The Bulletin Board, where you can carry on any healthy and informative discussions on any current affairs including politics, but please make sure there is no personal attack, no abuse of language. We respect all constructive political views, so we should respect everybody.
    You can carry out any constructive debate with facts and figures.
